Submissions are open to all English language, or subtitled films from across the globe. Run time should be between 2 – 45 mins., within the following genres: Horror, Thriller, Psychological, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Experimental, Comedy. No graphic sexual content, no trailers, no music videos, no commercials. A random generator will decide the running order of the movies.

Submissions are accepted on a first come, first served basis. The deadline is Sept. 1st, or as soon as the available time is filled up, whichever comes first.

 

HOW TO SUBMIT:

 

Firstly, send a digital copy of your movie to: shortbusfilmfest@gmail.com  The best way to do this would be to upload it to Youtube or Vimeo on a PRIVATE setting & send us the private link to view. [Youtube privacy setting should be set to 'unlisted', so anyone with the link can view.]
[This copy will be sent to the judges.]

Included in your submission email; a brief synopsis of the movie, any links, poster or cover art image, submission form.

If you have extreme difficulty in providing a digital copy, as stated above, we will upload from a DVD. [Though we do not encourage this.] You can also send a DVD for screening purposes if it would greatly improve the quality. [Good quality & HD digital copies are acceptable for screening.]
 

FEE:

 

Structured on run time, per minute, rather than a flat fee. So the shorter your movie, the cheaper.

 

Charge per min. = $2.00   [ 30 secs + goes to next full min.]

 

Therefore, a 10 min. movie costs $20   

 

The fee includes two free passes to the event, & free table space [on a first come, first served basis on the day of the event.] Space is limited, so please be courteous.

 

Your movie is GUARANTEED to screen. [If you have paid submission, but it came in just before we calculated the cut off, & we don’t have enough time to show it, your money will be refunded.]

[Chase QuickPay is also acceptable, but you must request this by email first.]
